Introverted Sensing (Dominant Position) Hawkeye has the ability to recognize when a situation or a person doesn’t feel right, based on the subjective feeling of unease, even if it doesn’t outwardly appear that way. She develops suspicions on Pride simply based a familiar feeling of intensity and discomfort. After analyzing her own reaction to him she realizes it was the same impression she had with Gluttony, who happened to be another Homunculi. She relies on what is tried and true, trusting her own sharp instinct, and knowing all the details and quirks of a person is second nature to her - such as Mustang’s flame alchemy and it’s weakness in the rain (Si-Te). Enemies cannot deceive her after her experiences, because she has a strong perception of the truth and knows those she cares about closely. Her strong sense of feeling a change makes her a reliable ally and trustworthy companion to Roy Mustang as his own personal lieutenant.
Extroverted Thinking (Auxiliary Position) She is hard working and dedicated as a lieutenant, and values productivity even in the worst of situations, using weaponry with precision and professionalism. When she has to work with the Fuhrer, she dutifully remarks that he is at least efficient, and explains this doesn’t bother her. As a soldier of the Military, Hawkeye shows skill in combat tactics and covert operations.
Introverted Feeling (Tertiary Position) Her manner is private and subdued, with a serious and courteous demeanor, and is clearly loyal towards her cause. She doesn’t drop formalities with those who are close to her, but she does show her softer side with characters such as the Elric brothers. She is not prone to showing outward signs of affection, preferring to show her compassion in more subtle ways.
Extroverted Intuition (Inferior Position) Hawkeye most naturally follows her instinct as a soldier and relies on her logical tactics, rather than recognizing any possibilities that arise - for example, she believes Lust killed the Colonel without considering that she was lying. During the Ishvallen War, Gimblee makes all the soldiers realize through his persuasion, the reality of their actions and their choice they had in partaking in the war, and Hawkeye shares the feeling a shock and guilt among her fellow soldiers. With experience however, she learns how to connect ideas to reach a conclusion based on her suspicions, such as the Fuhrer’s son being another Homunculi.
